Ruchir Kumar Modi was appointed director of Godfrey Phillips India, a publicly listed company in India, on 19 March 2016. The company employs approximately 1,300 personnel. Ruchir Kumar Modi’s duties include overseeing the strategic direction of the company as a publicly listed company in India as well as helping to drive the international business development of the company with specific oversight of the international business division and its growing export of tobacco and tea products, technical services and contract manufacturing. He has more recently been involved in a large scale M&A transaction aimed at creating exponential growth in Godfrey Phillips India and the KK Modi Group. Godfrey Phillips India Limited, a flagship company of the K.K. Modi Group, is one of India's largest cigarette manufacturers. We make some of the best cigarette brands in the country including Four Square, Red & White, and Cavanders. We proudly export our own cigarette brands, like Jaisalmer, Stellar and Black Jack among others, all over the globe. And under a license agreement with Philip Morris, we manufacture and market Marlboro cigarettes in India.
